No Mounts fair game-play? Hows that?

I don't really care about mounts one way or the other for pvp, but for pvm or just general traveling they are very useful and speed up the tediousness of things. Even if you couldn't bring mounts into dungeons, just being able to travel around town or in the wilderness would save massive amounts of time.

Why cant you just not be allowed to pvp while riding a mount and fall off the mount when attacked, like a bola ball would do to you? Then at least it wouldn't take so long to run to vendors, etc

For me that doesn't fix any thing... I give a big whoop for PvE. It's PVP that's been damaged because of the no mount issue. However I would agree to no mounts in dungeons. But every thing else including PVP should have them.

True it has been debated. But clearly not enough. The changes that ruined old UO were also debated. So why aren't you playing there? I mean since it was debated they must be right. I remember back in the day on old UO I was told if I don't like the new changes then go play some where else.

So players did. So I won't just deal with it. I'll talk about it instead. Thanks for the crappy input though.

However IPY has far to many plus's to let one downfall make me leave. But not everyone agrees with that and so they have left or simply not started because of the mounts.

Oh and whoever brought it up, that's a good point about the stealth not being used while mounted. I value that since it makes sense. Instead of saying something like "deal with it"

I'm Australian and ping around 220.

I am not one to say "Implement X and I'm outta here", but this would ruin the game for me and would be a deal breaker. I'm sure a lot of non-US residents feel the same.

Not that I think they would consider implementing it anyway, just voicing my concerns.

However I would like to end my participation in this by saying, out of all these post only 2 points were reasonable and made since. None of them were game-play related.

Once again for something that is SO open and shut there are a lot of people who want mounts. Most them just don't bother playing.

Just because you ignored the actual game play example of why mounts are stupid doesn't mean it isnt there.

Read marmalade's very simple post.

Running away from people would be so stupidly easy with mounts because of the simple fact that casting timers are the same and you have to stop moving to cast.

It would be impossible to catch a dexer with a bandage ticking unless the dexer is awful and just stands there to eat the damage.

No one wants to be casting an Ebolt just to have the target be 3 screens away hidden behind a house by the time it finishes loading.

There's an in game example. It isn't the first time it's been brought up. Don't just ignore it and keep saying "mounts hould be there omg omg" over and over again.
