    "Creatively" abusing incentives.

This serves as an official announcement for everyone.

Finding (or creating) safe nooks in dungeons is exploiting the system.

Officially, if you are finding places to macro in dungeons, you are exploiting a system meant to encourage entirely different behaviour.

To this point we have been spawning and/or blocking off these areas.

However, our rules against this type of action are well known at this point. We consider this exploiting. Our lenient rules toward exploiting have served as nothing but a challenge for some players to exploit more. If they're caught, they feel it won't matter. This serves as an incentive to attempt all kinds of exploits. Specifically in this case, when a macro spot is spawned or blocked, the offenders simply find a new spot - knowing full well we disapprove of the action.

This has turned into a game we're not interested in playing.

From now on, exploiting of any kind will result in a 24 hour ban and a mark on your account. Each mark you accumulate will result in longer bans from the server. Depending on the severity of your actions, and at GM discretion, your ban may be across ALL of your accounts.

As always, exploiting very serious bugs can and will result in an immediate permanent ban from the server.

Thank you for taking a clear stance on the issue, Az. I tried this once last night for the first time. I looked for a safe little area in the back of covetous to practice my hiding. Did not realize it was considered against the rules at all. I never once thought this would be considered an "exploit" or that i was "getting away with something."

I figured since I was in an unsafe zone and subject to PK at any time was threat enough. I wasn't even sure if my little spot was safe or not, and I periodically was checking. When I came back and was dead I just figured a monster or player had killed me, lol. (pretty sure people in thieves guild can't give counts, so it was possible i had been pke'd and couldn't report it)

I totally understand your reasoning though, and I will stop for sure.

I think everyone doing this knows that they're trying to get away with something, so we shouldn't have too much difficulty with the coming slaughter.

Of course, if you're found in T2A or some other area that is intended to be inaccessible, action will be taken on your account.
I would prefer you fix the problem as to why people are macroing in dungeons rather than making a rule against it - or at least find a way to empower the community to deal with it.

Increase skill scroll drop rate. How far out is monster control?

the people macroing in dungeons will macro somewhere else because they are macroers. no change will suddenly make these people log in to play the game for anything but pvp. stop fretting about it mane.

Ya but macroing in towns or their houses will set their progress back, and let the people who play the game surpass them (hopefully)

Nevermind- this post is a bit off topic. Just wanted to say that you aren't "either a macroer or a player", plenty of people do both. I play more than I macro but I wont act as if I don't macro when I sleep. thats all (edited and shortened)

IMO there is already a way for the community to deal with it. AFK macroers in dungeons can be PKed.... That will set their progress back.

Perhaps the devs could make it so a character that hasn't been moving for a long period of time can't give murder counts? But then again they will just make their macroing characters walk in circles...

Looks like Az got sick of Moonsquad exploiting and finally pushed back.

One might read it that way. However, it's not just them doing it. So, no one can say Az is specifically targeting them.
