    Attention NEW Players!

    Hey everyone ~

I notice several players have been joining the NEW guild recently, but they almost never ask for help with skilling characters and gathering gold in dungeons!

Don't be shy to ask for help! I always allow other NEW players to join me in dungeons on one of my bards! Just this weekend I took three different groups to shame. In about 1 hour of playing we were able to gather 5-10k gold each for all three groups, which is a nice amount of starting cash. You can be any skill level to join me and any skill set. So make sure you speak up in guild chat and try to jump in groups. There are other players that might be willing to help you out too =]

If you arent in the NEW guild and you'd like to join, just page a GM =]

    Cheers,
    Khadesh/Fukurokuju/Risa

Was wondering...does the NEW guild still frown upon attacking other players in dungeons or is it really just an front for veteran players to work up skills on undeveloped/developed characters??

    Dear GeneralKael,

I'm terribly sorry about killing you the other day, but there are a few things I'd like to point out:

    1. PvP is a part of the game, get used to dying. Join NEW and I won't attack you, I'll help you!

    2. If NEW players weren't allow to PK random people we would be at a significant disadvantage, because everyone on this server will PK you if you stay near them long enough.

    3. I've been on this server for two months, I don't think that qualifies as a veteran. Or in my opinion it doesn't.

    4. You let a bard kill you and now you're whinning on a forum? If a bard killed me on my dexxer I would be too embarrassed to tell anyone publicly.

    5. You've been on the server for 1.5 years... see number 4.

If you'd like to chill out and drink some mongbat mead and smooth things over, I'd be happy to meet up! I know it sucks dying, I get pissed too, but I'm not going to sit around and cry about it on the forums ~

    Cheers,
    Khadesh/Risa/Fukurokuju

Oh, and P.S. those two newbies with me said GeneralKael blood tastes great, especially when mixed with avenger blood ~

Hate to tell yah bud...I made a tactical error and lured three people into a heavy spawn area on a developing char and got surrounded and killed by spawn. Good thing you were a bard!! In fact...I think someone did get a hit off on me and got a count and it wasn't you. Yes I started here a year and a half ago...yes I took a year and a half break before returning recently but hell if you think you got your first kill in UO give yourself a little pat on the back and your little boyfriends a peck on the cheek

My question as I posted it was more that I find it funny your hiding behind a NEW tag and yet engaging and trying to kill other newer players to the shard in the newbie dungeon. Kinda defeats the purpace of being in NEW to me...and is actually a detriment to the shard. Tilly must be proud lol

I had you at 1% health and you ran into the avenger pen! It was good fun times! Hiding behind a NEW tag? I've been attacked almost everytime I step foot in a dungeon, if anything I'd say the NEW tag is nothing but a giant "kill me" sign! I personally wish blue vrs blue pvp wasnt the way it is, I even made a suggestion for fixing it but nobody seemed to agree with me. Until it gets fixed I treat every blue like a red in hiding.

    Cheers, and good luck ~

I was damaged from spawn when your little group attacked. A second or two after your combo went off I was back to full health Your name didn't even pop up as an option for a count ( perhaps as I was fully healed?? Not sure on this era ruleset). Again, the time I was in NEW from when I first started here and my experiences with similar NEW guilds on other shards/EA was NEW could not get involved in attacking other players ( reds, greys, factions or OCB) unless they were just defending themselves. Regardless, lesson learned to trust no one regardless of guild name lol

I do however completely agree with the blue vs blue aspect. Seems like as soon as you get engaged with any heavy spawn random blues will attack. I enjoy the excitement of random pvp encounters and actually look forward to getting raided. The problem as I see it is the harsh penalties for reds. Would rather see much longer times for players to burn off counts on blue characters and less actual penalties for red characters. It's kinda hard to get to know the community when your always suspicious of fellow dungeon crawlers perhaps being blue griefers. Least when I see a red character approaching I got a pretty good idea to get myself ready!

I agree with you on the red/blue penalties for sure ~

My suggestion was to make a change in the way murder counts accumulate and set murder status:

    1. Make it so one murder count makes you a murderer.

    2. Make short term murder counts macro off in three hours.

    3. Make long term murder counts macro off in 16-20 hours.

With this setup blues can run around PKing people at will then just afk the counts off while they play another blue. Reds can avoid the stat loss or reduce the amount of gold they have to pay because shorts macro off much faster. I do however think there should be a 1-3 hour timer before a red can rez. Winning a fight against them should at least reward you with temporary safety, but stat loss should be more easily avoided (faster burning counts = cheaper / faster rez fees), but a murderer is a murder, make the count one like it should be imo.

Well, you seem like an alright guy, if you want we can group up sometime and make peace ~ if not that's fine too =]

    Cheers,
    Khadesh
