I fixed a few things on the first page. I will try to be more active making edits and additions to the wiki.

hmm I had no prob updating it before I was a "staff recruit" -- it just requires that you make an account is all. and you need special access to create new or delete pages, or modify the front page (I think)

I dunno why I can't make edits.... I asked Az about it and he said there was nothing he could do about it as it was part of the security system. Wish I could; sorry!

I don't remember that conversation - However, it'd certainly depend on what you were trying to edit. Plenty of people have signed up and edited the wiki. Because, you know, it's a wiki.

Basically I would edit one page, save it, then go to edit another page and it would say I wasn't authorized. You'd mentioned something about white lists I think? Sorry I deleted the PM... it was like a year ago =/

Ah. Now, if the issue was getting whitelisted, the likeliehood is that you were getting caught up in the proxy detection.
