    Question about hues

I hear a lot of talk around here about people buying/selling/trading rare hues.

How can you tell whether a certain shade is rare or not?

Well, most of them aren't particularly rare but some are more desirable than others because they look cool. Some of the ones people like the most are:

    1899: Very dark charcoal
    1908: Very dark blue
    1645: Blood red
    1327: Dark blue
    1900: Light gray
    1254: Nice purple

    etc etc.

1109 is the most valuable, it's a very dark shadow type color.

Most of the hues drop from killing NPCs such as healers or escorts. Some of the more valuable or rare ones came from special colored cloaks from the lottery system, such as the Halloween orange, Gold cloaks, Valorite cloaks, etc.

I think Halloween/Santa hues go for a little more than 1109 ATM. Like 50k a yard has been standard for Halloween cloaks.

I was more talking about the specific number associated with the hue.

Being a heterosexual male, I see "grey", not "charcoal post-birth depression neutral grey".

How does one tell what number hue a piece of clothing is?

Click the Display/Counters tab on Razor, look in the left hand side under the Counters box for the "Add" button, click it, then click "Target." Target the clothing item you are interested in on the NPC/Player paperdoll. The numerical code will show in the color box. 4 digit codes are the ones you want. 3 digit codes are obtainable with a standard dye tub.
