Need help with DexBard plz!

I am going for something unique that is good for grouping and deep dungeon soloing..

I have some developed characters but since I am just returning to the server I'd like to start fresh without relying on them. I have no intentions of fighting back with this character so please don't post cookie cutter builds and ignore my goal. I'm not worried about the pvm survivability. I have played bards almost exclusively in my UO career and I am looking for something fresh. I've always played mage or tamer bards. After tossing around some ideas I came up with this:

100 Swords Tact Music Peace Voke 80 Hide 60 Mage Med

I think it will be very fun and safe.. I'd appreciate any constructive feedback.

-Thoughts on 60 med? 80 hide?
-Do I really need Magery so high?
-Ideas for incorporating stealth...
-Is this totally useless for running from reds?

depends on how skilled of a player you are and what playstyle you enjoy.
dungeoning can be played in many different styles.

but if you voided out all other players
and you wanted to fight boss type monsters (balrons and poison elements) alone in hyloth
i would do:
music
provo
peace
magery
wrestling
meditation
resist spells

100 100 25

have the monsters fight each other and use EVs or summoned deamons to your advantage.

Definitely spot on, you gotta have some way to heal yourself, and as a dexxer magery at any level wont cut it. Here is my dexxer bard template (not yet complete but close):

Swords 100
Tactics 100
Anat 100
Heal 100
Music 100
Provo 100
Discord 100

I wish I could fit hiding in, and might switch discord for something once I GM Provo, but without disco provoing more difficult mobs is a pain while skilling up. I have actually grown to like discord quite a lot ~

Heal / Anat is great to have on any character really... I just love the fact that I can set a macro to auto loop it and never even have to worry about healing myself in most cases.

How could you forget any means of healing?

I don't have healing because I don't plan on taking any damage and 60 mage/med can handle any damage I do take. Same reason a Discord/Voke Tamer doesn't have healing it is simply not needed unless you are terrible at PvM. As I said I have played tons of bards throughout my UO of 14 years and if I die to mob damage I most likely deserved it for being stupid. Thanks for your thoughts.

80 hiding will fail occasionally. u can trust it, but it will fail sometimes twice in a row.

60 med will fail a lot when trying to med from low mana. nonetheless, it gives you passive mana regen.

considering your template for mid to high end farming: liche lords and dragons i would consider mid, balrons and ancient liches, poison ellys, would be high end for me

things can get very dangerous for you in mid lvl spawns. provo will fail ocasionally and casting mobs will eat you specially because when u try to go for the gheal, any mob will hit u 100% of the time because u dont have wrestling.

that being said, high end spawns are a no go for you. even if you are paired with another character, you cant ress him if he dies, so this temp is a complete waste of time for mid to high end solo/group action.

the only reason for playing this would be to have fun

i'd either do worlls suggestion or rebs. magery is a must for high end spawns, paralyze is really needed, along with invis.

for paragons you really need GM magery. so... rebs temp is better then yours, but still a bad one.
Magic resist is a must on any temp that want to farm magic dmg dealing mobs.

That's probably the best dex bard template, but I would do Swords rather than Fencing. There are many more Swords weapons than Fencing weapons, and the likelyhood of finding a Slayer weapon with swords is better than with fencing.
