It actually has slightly lower high end damage now, but higher low end damage. So it's not necessarily going to be "insanely OP", but it'll be something to use if you're looking for reliability in swordsmanship.
I think there were a lot more people using them than you think. The halberd was just more effective in the tournaments because those giant hits were needed in order to beat the better players.

I did a bunch of duels with Kid A last night and was resisting harms left and right and they were not interrupting me. Not sure if anything was changed since then though.

bardiches have been pretty popular on this server. i used to use bardiches on other servers a lot just to be different, then when i came here a lot of people were using them i was surprised.

I would use a bard and a hally.

Hally for big hits at full life --> bard for consistent kill shots.

I fail to see where it's just an annoyance. For mages, yeah it's just an annoyance, but for other dexxers it destroys them. You do realize your attack speed is based on your % remaining stamina right? So if someone drains you out your DPS gets cut in half, and instead of being able to chug heal pots you have to chug stam pots, I fail to see how this isn't OP. Sure, you can DP your blade which can be countered by cure pots as well, but war hammers don't only have 12 charges of stam drain on them and require an alt with 50k gold invested in them.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to stamina drain in reference to the tournaments or just in general about tank mage vs tank mage. The stamina drain does not slow down a tank mages swing if they are already at <= 25 stamina.

i think stamina drain is/was a bit out of wack. needed a slight nerf but nothing super major.

You can fit a lot of red potions in your backpack I heard.

If you're complaining about the stamina drain in field pvp, carry more reds.

keep the stam drain in, remove the completely unnecessary armor destruction

I'm not refering to tournament pvp. In regular pvp if you lose even a small amount of stamina as a dexxer, your swing timers gets insanely slow. So I'm refering to dexxer vrs dexxer pvp, not tank mages, they don't care about swing timers because they can cast in between hits. As a dexxer you just have to wait for you're next swing, and there is a big difference between swinging with 50 stamina and swinging with 100 stamina, it's very noticable and absolutely kills your dps. And like I said, it isn't a simple stam pot solution either, because this locks out your timer on other pots and in general just makes non-macer vrs macer stupid. In a long fight your armor will be completely jacked and you'll still end up losing too.

Solution to fighting deadly poison: carry around 5-10 cure pots.

Solution to fighting macers: carry 100 stam pots and two extra sets of armor.

Call me crazy but I don't think that's balanced.

Generally I think the fix should be more along the lines of stamina loss having a lesser penalty to my swing timer, this is the biggest issue I have with maces at least.
