Upcoming High End Rewards (Death Shrouds)

Players always require something great to strive for, which is why we will be introducing death shrouds as an incredibly rare reward in certain situations:

    • 5 tournament wins. The player may exchange his or her 4 existing true black items, and have the fifth changed in to a black death shroud. The items must be named after your character to make the exchange.
    • High end militia reward - OCB 2.5. Militia hued Death Shroud. Order, Chaos and Balance factions only. Champion level item.
    • High end PvE reward - Level 5 Dungeons, IPY 2.5. Various hues. Extremely low drop rates.

We look forward to seeing our players enjoy these extremely high end rewards!

So only available if you create a zerg?

So the reasoning here is that we don't want people achieving these items for joining a 3-man Occlo militia, and we'd like to encourage both competition and joining the main factions. Large main factions create a situation wherein solo players can participate in the OCB system and immediately have lots of friends and enemies - much like OSI factions. While some do enjoy rogue cities, and we don't necessarily intend to take those away, they are ultimately more exclusive than we'd like.

We also don't want a lot of shrouds in the world. They will be Champion-level Militia items that require, at least, to get and hold the Champion title to equip the shroud.

Free Shrouds, or "Welfare Shrouds" is not the goal here. They're meant to be extremely rare, and extremely difficult to achieve.

I understand your reasoning, I feel the counter is much better for OCB. By letting all militias have them it wouldn't end up being a "3-man Occlo" crew because people would leave the massive zergs to join the smallers ones for a better shot at the shrouds. Thus zerging would tone down a bit, and competition would arise per militia to be the top guy in each militia. People would actively participate in OCB for brazier points (i believe capping braziers gives points?). You should also make it so you don't give up anymore points after you have been killed by an enemy militia after a certain period instead of a per person timer to keep people from res killing. Furthermore, you could make it so that whoever damages a militia member the points will be split up between the killing party instead of just the final attack. If you kill someone say 1v1 you would get the full points, if you kill them 2v1 you get half ect. This way players who are taking more risk by not zerging and winning their fights are rewarded more than the massive zergs that are running around on the server currently.

No no no, for one.. occlo is currently one of the most active and largest miltias that participate in OCB btw.

For two, only making these available to the order/chaos/balance militias is catering to creating a zerg, which if you kept up with how OCB works here.. you would know that these zergs destroy the miltia and pvp scene, they do not help it.

Az- You need to offe the same rewards to the people who are rogue, because those people are who really pump the lifeblood into OCB. Do not cater to the zergs, that only hurts the ocb/pvp scene on the server. If something is going to be a miltia reward, it needs to be available to ALL militias.

Also.. *get and hold champion title*... so what about people who win them dueling? Must they keep winning the tourneys to equip their shroud? So, if you are good at 1v1 you can wear a shroud without impunity... but if you are good at group combat you can lose the ability to wear it by taking a break, or by having your faction all apart...

I beg you to reconsider your reasoning behind militia shrouds. Make them very hard to get, but make them permanent and available to ALL militias please.

Clear all militia points. So people will log on to get these.

Making the shrouds only available to Order/Chaos/Balance will encourage larger, zerg-style group fights and participating in OCB purely for town capture. I was hoping the OCB system would be redesigned to incentivize pvp rather than recalling around cities to light/douse braziers.

Possibly implementing a point system based on % damage done to the enemy target killed would encourage pvp and discourage larger zerg groups as obtaining a relevant amount of points for the new rewards would take an unreasonable amount of time to accumulate.
