I hope so. Honestly playing here with the Orcs ranks WAY up there on my list of "Most Fun UO Moments" for sure.

I would like to propose a no statloss area that is north of Cove, including the area near the crossroads east of the swamps. I would like to be able to kill everyone there without repercussion and to make it seem fair I'll call myself and friends 'evil'. We'll throw in a few thees and thous so it seems more authentic, maybe even an emote or two.

It's possible to fight on foot against mounted opponents, but it's definitely more difficult. Not something you want to do in an open field battle type scenario, it's more something where you would bunker into the fort and force them to come to you. I did plenty of that in Shadowclan on Siege Perilous and Bloodrock Clan on Great Lakes and it was alot of fun eating that horse up after bola'ing and killing someone

But as far as the original topic... I think having this feature available in the original IPY 2.0 lands would be a good option so that we at least have the possibility of having evil RP guilds establish themselves in the old lands where there are no mounts.

The landmass that would be utilized is so small that it would not impact the rest of the playerbase outside of giving them a few additional PvP hotspots... you hardly see anyone at the Orc Forts, Brigand Forts, Swamps and to a lesser extent the Graveyards.

The entire landmass of the Golden Lands will be statloss-free... having small pockets of the Old Lands where you can't get short term counts would do no harm, and a whole lot of good.

Hopefully this will change in the next update.
Not all orc guilds are the same. Not all orcs want to PK penalty free. I've whined and moaned about the overwhelming penalties here for lines upon lines in the forums and irc. But you will never find me advocating a completely penalty free environment a la Hybrid. The orcs that I play with all feel exactly the same way. Reduce penalties to something that is reasonable, and such evil roleplaying can happen. That part about you slamming orc RP'ing... That type of bitching has been going on since Shadowclan first became a thing. Good roleplayers roleplay, yes. But do you expect orcs to just stand still around KNOWN instant attacking RP hating griefers? Not likely. Me and mine ask unknown random players for tribute, and if you appear to be roleplaying, we return the roleplay. If you start speaking words of power or charge us down, that's it. No more roleplay until someone is dead. We don't keep talking while you're voip syncing us down. And... sit down for this shocker. Sometimes, brand new orcs or younger orcs don't act the same as older orcs. Orcs who have done this for years generally want to roleplay first and wave epeens (PvP) second. Newer orcs are still stuck in that 'oomie' mentality of kill everyone and loot them dry. So **** happens.

Corrado, fighting on foot against mounted foes as an orc is nothing new. Shadowclan did it, Orcs of Kor did it. Bloodclan did it/does it today on Hybrid. It's a disadvantage sort of, but it has a hidden advantage for the orcs. Humans get overconfident fairly easily and rush into properly executed orc traps. They think 'look at these newbs on foot with gm weps and leather armor lolz lets rush in there and sync them down lolololol.' They rush into a house or graveyard crypt with hidden orcs, or some cave with hidden orcs equipped with stacks of crates or candelabras and get humiliated. I've seen it time and time again. I wish I had a body counter for the yew fort front gate trap. It would read in the thousands of the number of fools and their horses along with mares, dragons and all sorts of summons. My hybrid character is just over 600 short terms. So mounts aren't a problem as long as bolas or defendable statics exist.

Agreed, but I hold no optimism in this happening.
