I'd rather see a volunteer Seer program put in instead of automated events. I'm sure there's some cool people in our RP community here who would love to be a seer and throw together some events. They'd have to be trustworthy of course but I'm sure there's at least a few candidates out there.
I don't think those are the kind of automated events most people were asking for. Also, why would it be better for a seer to run a tournament (or any non RP heavy event) than for it to just be automated?Originally Posted by Snake

Dude if you want to make a player run event you could easily do it and probably have at least some GM assistance. I really don't think you have any idea of what an automated event actually is. It isn't something one or even 2 gms could referee. It is something that is tracked through coding kills and captures and unless you had an army of Gms and 'seers' to track the event this would be almost impossible.
You really shouldn't speak on something you know nothing about.
In order to code something like this it would take ALOT of time and one hell of a coder. I think Seneschal could get it done and I support it 100%.
you can do a player run CTF, people have done it through out UO's history.
any ways whatever, i'm done in here. the conclusion seems to be:
1)players are uncreative
2)players are lazy
fair enough, i guess that's why we're playing video games any ways.
