Let's Improve PvP

This is correct. Threads like this make us nervous that the changes that are really needed are going to be buried under uninformed nonsense. This person claiming that mages beat dexers 1v1 is a perfect example--that is not even arguably true. Should people not respond?

No, like I said already.. when we first opened up.. we had a team of "respected PvPers" who have been PvPing for years, were around for IPY1 and other places.. Of course we listen to what EVERYONE says, but yeah, we will of course have a dedicated PvP group/circle that we will be listening to feedback from and asking to test things, make suggestions etc.

We wouldn't ask someone who has never tried crafting before, to suggest tweaks to crafting, same goes for PvP and other things.

Huh strange. Those are two pretty valid points and i'd be interested to hear why you disagree. Or am I just not allowed to offer any insight because I don't currently play the same build as you?

Edit: Nerfing Q staves would hurt my interests as a whole, as I run with a bunch of guys who use maces. In reading back, it seems like there is support for the mini-heal feedback as well. If you don't agree then write something constructive as a counterpoint, it looks like your just looking for an excuse to rage on us poor little dexxers while offering nothing other than the "all dexxers are noobs" arguement.

If that's what you'd like to take from a discussion thread simply asking for general feedback from the playerbase and allowing them to voice their opinions, that's what you take from it. It's a bit silly, though.

Edger, I'm not back on here posting to ostracize you. I'm not going to write a book on ethics here either. I glanced at your list of suggestions you linked and most of them are OCB related. The mini heal one has been suggested here already and although I'm not convinced that anything needs to be changed that seems to be something the tourney goers agree on, so I also agree that's worth Az looking into.

I'm actually asking as a fellow IPY player who enjoys PvP, and enjoys PvPing with the good PvPers... are there any other suggestions not mentioned here that you'd like to see changed? I think this thread is pretty important and I'm willing to put differences aside to keep this thread on track. I think it's in everybody's best interest to do the same. I'd like to see some changes around here!

I hope we can be more civil, only people who will suffer when this thread gets shipped to Bucs and Az does his own thing is us.

The only thing preventing any legitimate ideas coming to fruition is your failure to cooperate. The top PvPers all have access to this thread. On with the show! Don't let us humble players get in your way.

Az isn't stupid, nor uninformed. I'm sure he'll get the point if the PvP community backs your suggetions.

I don't know how weapon base damage (pre-modifiers) is calculated. So I asked. I don't think you know either. Either way, I think my suggestion makes sense. Neither you nor Axel said anything constructive following it. I feel like I'm debating with two children.

Also, most of the people agreeing with you.. including you... Have super-massive blackhole sized egos. Of course they like the "power" of being the ones who control everything PvP. I could have predicted that easily even if I was lobotomized first.

Ya you're right my first suggestion is to eliminate uninformed players to a thread and create a test forum for people who are informed.

Seems pretty rational to me. And that way they could work closely with the person who is developing any new changes - really cut out all the crap.

I think Jay, Cameron, Gore, Axel or ANY SANE PERSON would agree.
