To be honest, I'd love to address this concern. I just don't understand it.

Hardly any of the "new ****" is happening in the golden land. Everything else is all improvements to the existing world. You don't need to donate to get there. That's about it, really.

We've had like four lotto changes in the last year and everyone is all up in arms about donations and how this is all about money. I took in five bucks yesterday. Thank you to the person who donated five bucks. Considering my costs, none of it was profit, however.

I've been operating in the red for a long time. The paypal account we built up is dwindling. That's why it got built up. So it could dwindle and the shard could live on while it did.

I think what he's referring to is that none of your items transfer over, so if you want to play in the golden lands and you want blessed suits or lotto rates to decorate your new houses you'll have to donate again to get them there. I could be wrong though. Gore is known for being a little slow.

Ah, I see his concern then. I'm not sure how to address that, either. We don't sell anything that's really of any value beyond decoration...

I suppose it's as simple as having masks and other wearables exist on both sides. If that's his point, then I apologize - good point, good thought, we'll rectify that concern now where we would not have considered it before.

When you shift over, your mask will stick on your face.

I seriously hope they reconsider making people start their characters over. Skills here are hard enough as is and the reason all but 1 of the 5 people I started with here quit within weeks. Not to mention PvE and macroing in this game are just not fun and feel like a chore.

    Also , mounts D:

Ah, Gore's a fine fella. I'm just getting a bit touchy after 20 pages, I guess.

So with this concept of "crossing over", how do you plan on countering something like someone breaking into someones castle courtyard, albeit there are few left on the "Old land" side that are technically safe, but what's to prevent someone from doing it on both sides, and vice versa?

Also, the concept of these two sides conflict (to me anyway) when requiring 2 different types of character builds. If I see player A, in the old land, there is little chance that I can technically compete with him by crossing over, if I'm currently in the old land on the old system. For instance, I'm in the old land on my hally mage, who has zero chance on the golden land side against the player with the alchy stun mage.

Preventing problems with shifting like courtyard breakins is the part of this Sen hates most.

We're gonna try to get it right. If we fail miserably, we just have to tighten up on WHERE you can cross over. We don't want to though - the act of shifting over in any location is one of the dynamic and interactive parts of the system.

So nobody new will come to check out what is essentially a new IPY and a fresh start? Nobody at all will come back or join as a result of the rest of the 2.5 patch?

    You could be right.

I'm seriously not betting on that though.

What about the second part of my post? Do you see that as a problem?
