    I think poisoning is the hardest skill to raise. I got mine to 99.2 with the rot system and then kinda stopped. At that amount though I don't think I've even failed once to dp so I don't really care about finishing it off. I'm not sure how much it cost me but it was probably less than 200k. I'm not entirely sure the skill is worth it or not, it's more convenience than anything as you could just buy poisoned weapons which are only like 100g. I like having it, don't get me wrong, but on this server there's not a whole ton of benefit for the cost since it gives no bonuses.

    Also, I disagree with the guy who said stop at GP. If you're getting the skill getting DP really is the only thing that makes it worth while imo.

    I'm beginning to notice this. I've used plenty of Poisons in PvE. It does increase your rate of income, however the real reason to have Poison is PvP, whether it's to dominate, or to throw them off guard so you can get the heck out of dodge. While farming a few thousand gold in Covetous to buy a couple thousand NS, I was attacked by a red. Poisoned on the spot, and managed to poison him on the first hit. He took off like there was no tomorrow. Didn't get a kill(I don't think) but it saved my skin. The problem is, with a declining population, you don't have encounters like this too often.

    It was nice being able to Poison right then and there. Though sometimes I wonder if just buying the DP'd Katanas would work. Then I think about the gold I've put into it. The time. Yeah, I'm more partial to having it lol

    yeah thats basically how it went with me, i got up to like 70 or 80 before i started wondering if it was worth it or not, but felt too invested to turn back. it is nice to have though. kinda wish you got some sort of extra bonus for having it in your template though aside from convenience.

    What kind of bonus are you thinking of? A resistance to poison could work. Not full resistance of course, but something fair. Maybe if something could be coded that if the person who poisoned the blade is also the one swinging the blade, the chance of curing is lessened.

    Definitely agree that as it stands, Poisoning is somewhat of a waste to have. I say somewhat because of the convenience factor, but that's really not enough.

    I'm going to stick with it, and in the mean time maybe us Poisoners can do some talking about what we'd like to see implemented, in hopes that included in a future patch will be an upgrade to Poisoning.

    Every skill needs to have a reason to have it. Being able to poison on the fly just isn't enough reason.

    IF you are using gm weapon poisoning is a waste of skill points. Just carry 3-4 poison weapons and use the 100 skill points for something else.

    If you are using magic weapons poison is super powerfull. You can keep your magic weapon constantly poisoned.

    on other servers i've played it's been stuff like where unless you have the skill your chance to poison sucks i think. so just picking up a prepoisoned weapon wasn't so great. i dont really think that's necessary here, but i think a small extra % chance to poison would be nice, sometimes i go through half the charges of poison on a wep without applying it. i think at gm right now its 25% regardless, so it'd be nice if actually having the skill boosted you another 10% or something reasonable.

    yes, the chance to apply should be increased period. i go though all 12 charges sometimes and get 1 apply. and charges are used even if target is already poisoned. i'd really like to see this fixed.
