Hey. I seem to be stuck at 66 stealth. What should I do to make it budge?

try putting on leather armor, i cant remember what exactly you need but try a chest piece and see if that helps. otherwise add arms or whatever, but use leather.

you should gain up to 80 without any AR, then you need to wear anything, doesnt have to be leather and stay around 24 AR all the way to gm.

if you made it from 50 to 66 before exhausting (i'm assuming this is what happened), congrats! you did better than i did.

reb's right, however if you wanna maximize your gaining, you can use the chart the ipy stealth codex gives

however, i've done stealth twice on this server, and there's not too huge of a difference. however if you're doing short bursts of macroing, few hours here, few hours there, might as well utilize your time to the most, and use the chart.

I used that chart, no problems. A good macro really helps, too. Aka - if success, keep stealth, only hide if fail. Etc.

Also, make sure you've got the skill points available to put into it. Simplest answer might be right and all that.

I had pretty good luck working a thief doing a macro that fished, hid, stealthed, and snooped the passing npcs. It was not the fastest gains but worked alot of my secondary skills for my thief template while still making me money. I did notice that skill gain slowed down when i reached high 60s in stealth but i was wearing no armor. Someday I will get back to working on this character and will put on some armor to see how well it increases the skill gains.

It didn't take me long at all to get to 80.. I decided to just stop it at that point. I see no reason to go beyond 80 as you succeed 100% of the time without armor. I have a dress macro to take off armor and put it back on.

Be aware that you can be tracked while stealthed with 0 tracking like 50% of the time. You can stop it at 80 and be fine, I personally took it to 100 so that I didn't have to wait as long between using it but the extra 20 pts could be used to round out your template.

Doesn't matter what kinda armor you wear, it's just the ar value that matters on this server.

How do I set a macro so that I only stealth if I succeed hiding, and I only hide if I fail hiding, etc?

if conditionals.

eg:
use hiding
if sysmsg you have failed to hide
pause 10 seconds
use hiding
else
use stealth
pause 10 seconds
loop

(I think, I dont actually have a hide/stealth macro to check to see if it's correct)
