Buccaneers Bay Boating Brawl!

Entree Fee:5,000gp
When: Saturday, April 14th at 8:00pm EST
Where: Buccaneers Bay (Gates will be open at West Britain Bank)

Who be the best crew in the land?! Put your boating and pvp skills to the test on Saturday, April 14th! Or maybe ye' be a landlubber?! Then show up and prove your fighting skills by being the last man standing on the docks of Buccaneers Den!

• The main event being hosted is the "Buccaneers Boating Brawl" which is an Free For All Deathrace consisting of three laps, the first boat to complete their laps with at least one remaining crew member left wins! Also, during this event there will be a Free For All that will last until the race has been completed! There will be absolutely no rules for the Free For All, other than there can only be one winner, so whoever is remaining fully stocked and still alive on the Buccs Dock will win a 2nd place prize for the event! The event is explained in more detail below...
  

Rules For the Boat Race

The racing lanes for the boat race will be outlined using Depth Charges, so be careful and stay in the lines! Every boater will be carefully monitored, so dont try cheating in any way or you WILL be disqualified along with being killed, looted, and ship sunken.
***Everyone Participating in the boat race will be gated to a secure location at the beginning, to prevent boat stealing, and other forms of griefing.
***If you plan on participating please post your name, your boats name, and any crew members! Spots are limited!

• Each team can only have a MAX of THREE crew members!
• The only boats permitted are Small & Medium Regular Boats!
  
• There is a 5k Entree Fee PER Person that will go towards prizes!
  
• You must bring your own boat, please name your boat!
  
• There are no restrictions as far as pvp aspects go you may use any spell, cannons, pets, summons; however using bladespirits and Energy Vortexes is discouraged!
  
• Looting Players is also discouraged.
  

Rules For the Buccaneers Dock FFA

The FFA will be go on as long as the race does, there are no restrictions, there is no entree fee for the FFA, however the prize for the FFA winner will be significantly smaller than the winner of the Boat Race. Donations towards prize totals are always welcomed!

• The winner of the FFA must be ALONE on the dock (no guildmembers/friends), with full stock (no fresh resses). If it becomes to difficult to choose a definite winner, the prize will go to whoever came in second during the boat race.
  
• Res Killing is discouraged.
  

Sideline Referees

• If you just want to watch the event, simply go to the grass areas surrounding the bay and do your best to try and slow-down, confuse, and distract whoever is leading the race!
  
• It is also encouraged that you attack only those using tactics you feel are cheap.
  
• Sync Dumping on participants is strong discouraged!
  

Prizes

• 1st Place Boat Race: 300,000gp (Split Amongst Crew)
  
• 2nd Place Boat Race: Mystery Bag of Goodies (25k per crew member)
  
• 3rd Place Boat Race: Mystery Bag of Goodies (5k per crew member)
  
• Last Man Standing: Mystery Bag of Goodies

ps: i'd advise with restricting to small boats(dragons) as it would take a lot of shots on a large dragon to sink it..

I'll consider it, I'll have to do some testing on my own to see how difficult they actually are to sink, and if people are willing to take the 20k risk by bringing that large of a ship. Thanks for the input!

I have decided that ONLY MEDIUM Sized REGULAR boats are going to be aloud, to assure a level playing field for all participants! While you still can use a small boat, be aware you may be at a disadvantage.

Also, remember to post here if you are participating! Space is limited!
