man this game sucks..this is the kiddy version of dota..like heroes of neverearth and all that crap..
if you want to play the MOBA genre, play dota or wait for dota 2, seriously..
On dota2 ATM. I was a little pissed off cos they changed the graphics and it looks a bit more like lol now, but it's still a much better game.

are u talking about the dota2 1.000.000$ prizepool tournament 'the defence" last year (and dota2 is still in beta)?
never heard of a 1.000.000$ lol tournament but then again i dont follow that scene. imo dota is still better then LoL and while i had my doubts about dota2, after playing it i think it will be better and bigger then LoL.
btw its pretty stupid to play a game because a handful of people make some money playing it. a game doesn't get more fun if the games publisher hands out big prize-pools. so yea, if u kids are progamers winning money go ahead, otherwise at-least try dota2 and see if u like it.
