^ totally wrong. my bow is very slow, and its power, and im 5xgm. and i hit very slow, with 100 dex.

my katana chings VERY quickly.

check your stamina, swing speed is dependant on stamina here. it's not as fast as a katana, its a little slower, but it shoots like a machine gun.

dex determines how fast you can swing... stamina determines what % of the dex swing speed bonus u are awarded.
100 stam @ 100 dex = max possible swing speed..
80 stam @ 100 dex = 80% of max possible swing speed.

IDK if those are the actual numbers but it explains the basic principle behind it.
