If you're stuck at Verifying Account...

1. Make sure you have a Classic Client version 7.0.10.3 or higher.
2. Make sure your login.cfg says "playipy.com" and not "login.owo.com".
3. Restart your client.
4. Try a different account name (it might be taken).
5. If all else fails... try to connect with Razor to address:

playipy.com

port 2593

Hey Az,

We have 5 guys here, 2 are logged in, but have been since launch. The remaining three are all trying to connect through Razor, and we are all still stuck at Connecting. We are able to choose the shard and we have been stuck here for a solid 5 minutes now.

Classic Client, patched fully, login.cfg is fine.

Razor fixed my problem, which is good because I intended to install Razor after I got some IG stuff set up anyways.

Hiya,

got a question, downloaded the classic client (version7.0.12.0), got the ipy patch, installed the bunch, now Im stuck at verifying... Downloaded Razor, put the right server in, just cant seem to change the data directory from auto detect to manual...
Found the login.cfg, but cant do anything with it to change it to playipf.com....

I may be a little clueless, and there probably is a very easy solution, but I could really use the help! Thanx in advance!

Can you edit login.cfg with notepad?

When you use Razor, just put playipy.com and port 2593 in at the bottom and connect.

thanx, made the changes you suggested, now when I open the cliebt with Razor, it says Razor at the bottom of the screen. Still cant seem to get past the verifying... Should I create a new account somewhere? Or is that a really stupid question? lol!

You can certainly attempt to create a new account and see if that fixes your problem, yes.

When creating an account using the client.exe it hangs at verifying. Used 3 different usernames (no way they were all taken) and none of them goes through.

Tried using Razor and it crashes the client.exe every time I try and execute.

I had trouble logging in as well, kept getting stuck on Verifying Account. Fixed it by installing ConnectUO and setting up IPY as a "local server" connecting to playipy.com, with encryption removal enabled. Oh, and hi, everyone!

I had excactly the same problem.
Fixed by uninstalling UO, then reinstalling and NOT patching with official patches.
Then it worked fine.
