The biggest problem I have with multi-clients is the graphics hit. I've found that if you minimize the clients you're not using, though, you'll be able to go a lot faster.

They don't respond to my pings either, they might just be silent/blocked for pings. But I route through them also and am able to play just fine.

The only thing that will slow down/stop a player is Paralyze. Well, that or having Macing as a weapon skill and beating the stamina out of them.

I did it a while ago on a dexer with GM anat. My memory might be off about how many hits it is, but it chews them the hell up without mercy. I'd go test it again if I wasn't afraid of losing more...
