Bots and scripts are defined by multi-action, usually moving and completely automated characters. What's a good rule of thumb? If it moves, it's dead. That includes making a boat move, and so on. However, automated resource gathering (resources of any kind - including cotton, wool, etc) is strictly forbidden. Az has stated that afk macroing fishing from shore is legal, just not from a boat. Even though it still generates free money to the macroer, it does not fall under resource gathering.
