Hello IPY! Thoughts on delay.

Excalaber is here. I have ben lurking for quite some time, and was very excited for the launch this week. Anyone know me from Atlantic or any other freeshards? If not, pleasure to meet you!

I just wanted to finally register so that I can post at least this much. Az, you made the right decision on delaying. Quality is so important, and please don't be worried about losing any playerbase because no matter how much they will be upset, they WILL still be here on launch day. In fact, some people...including myself....are impressed by this decision and find it more professional than simply opening the flood gates now and having to take the servers down more frequently for updates. Just wanted to throw a shoutout to you here.

To everyone else, I can't wait to see you in-game! :)

I was with the small elite squad DD on Atlantic, and before that I was EiG with Greybeard. I assure you that I owned you several times if you played between '97 and 2000.

Az, I played during that era so I prolly got killed by you then I guess. I was big on Trinny at the beginning. With Necromancer and Vader (south of trinny). Also hung with TB sometimes...but even though I hung with them I'd still get para'ed and have 8 people box me and steal everything until I was naked in my underwear and I'm like "guys wtf we were cool yesterday' lol...

Anyone here know Hellfire, Black Rain, Vader, or Necromancer? (Necro also had an archer named "a Lesser Daemon")

I played ATL after beta, all the way until Catskills was released. I rolled with AoD and The Mercs, and if you all played at that point, I KNOW we rolled you ;-) SO Nanna Nanna nanna! But what matters.. is who is gonna roll who on IPY !!

I gave up on caring about actually working on beta given what goes on in the current "beta" anyways. I am going to purely look at this shard from just another generic players view from now on given how things have gone already.

And I hope you use your forum name too. Still can't wait for the server to open though.

Yeah, I still talk to the people that are beta testing, and bulls hit with them in vent sometimes and all that, I just don't have the enthusiasm to actually test considering how decisions on doing anything around here get made. I'm just focusing more on RL stuff and getting a new computer built before the server opens because I am going to give this CPU to my little brother so he can play too.

I know how you feel though. I used to want to **** Natalie Portman, but then I saw how she chooses movies, and I decided, yea she's not that attractive anyhow. I need to focus my time on basketweaving anyhow. I got some amazing new strips of wood and I took a really fun class last week. I think I'll try to make one maybe this weekend if I don't have to take my dog to the vet. He has been sick lately.

Odds are the higher ups are going to make their own decision on it and do whatever they think anyways. So basically it would be pointless.
