It's generally bad taste to post something addressed directly to a dev in a general forum. Either pm / feedback section / or just generally address to anyone aka the "official irc" thread. Maybe it's different here if so then sorry, but it's just a general rule I've always seen.

Not to harp on yah but if the forum gets "To Azaroth: why is X like Y" with people demanding responses it can get annoying and kinda isn't the purpose of a general discussion. Either way there is an unofficial irc at gamesurge, #ipy

A thing that is good to have and should be used by more developers if you ask me is a "ask the dev team thread" where users can ask a question to the dev team as a whole or to one specific person and they will answer the questions when they have time. It helps reduce clutter and it gives the devs a easy way to stay in touch with their community. As long as a thread like that is moderated well it usually works out nicely.
