I would love poker in this shard. I see no way it could detract from the economy because it's zero sum and no extra money is created. Its super fun and a poker metagame engine is already available for runuo. What reason could there be to not include it? If you don't like it, don't play it.

I would love to see it as well, if they made like casinos in towns with gold bets, but like someone else said ask yourself the question is it really worth the dev time. Perhaps if a side programmer would step up and make this happen..

I'd much rather see decks of cards implemented so you could have you own poker game (or any other games, too) instead of a special client coded for it.

Poker is fun, but if you aren't playing real money, versus real people, there is no true bluffing, and winning. I fail to see how video poker is appealing to anyone.

Well, actually sounds like a real physical chess board. I can move real pieces anywhere/way I like, however, I don't because I am playing chess, so I follow the rules myself.

Still functional though.

Tell me im not semi-right though, I enjoy chess, I dont even mind teaching ppl to play chess, but in UO I prefer to sit at a board and play with ppl that i know at least know basic rules.

Well, I am sure my UO games of chess will be played on a board at my tower, or something with a friend, or with my brother. Hell I wouldn't mind setting up like 5 or 6 tables with games playing with 5 or 6 different people. Then you can simply come in, and make a move and perhaps have a public chest with a book, to record your move, that way the games could stretch out over the weeks. VS poker... (Uh, I dropped 3 cards, I need 3 new ones... then come back in three weeks and raise the pot by 100gold?) It just doesn't work like that.

Bump, was going to make a thread about poker but here is one already.

Would love to see this implemented, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be. If you don't like it no one's forcing you to participate. I'm sure something could be worked out so it's taxed for extra town income as well.

Hmmm poker on IPY not sure if it would be good. I know I wouldn't be farming dungeons anymore it would be to easy to take most of your peoples money. Also anyone wanna get some heads up NL or PLO games going on stars or tilt hit me up, let's see how good you think you are. I'm a reg at the 200$ game but will drop stakes if you will 4-6 table me. Come get some free money.
