Valford kneeled at the altar giving a silent prayer for those that watch over him. His sword hand quivered as it prepared for what was to come.

He heard the door shut behind him and his ears focused on the footsteps. Each step was soft but yet had a fierceness empowering them. If it wasn't for the tap of a staff accompany the steps he would not of recognized who it was.

Valford finished his prayer stood before the Ankh not giving heed to who was behind him.
"Whatever you have to say will not sway me from what I want to do."

Megrea gave a sigh leaning on her ceremonial staff. Being of a higher rank the Valford at least according to the Britain religious terms she could make him stay; But even then she knew he would disobey it.
"You know this is suicide, what do you hope to accomplish by doing this? He's gone Valford accept..."

Valford turned with a gaze that stopped her from finishing. "No he's not, I know he's out there, and I'll bring him back."

She looked at her friend the loss he must of felt after the apparent death of his best friend who he called brother at times. Rumors started to to travel around town of someone burning libraries that matched the description of our lost friend. But no mention was made as to why he was burning the libraries.

"Do you think he wants to even come back and are you sure the person you are going after will be the same one you remember?" She gave him a look trying to plead with him, but his determination overshadowed her.

Valford grabbed his sword and shield that were laying near him. "I can't say for sure, but I'm not going to pass up the chance."

Megrea rubbed her head in frustration, "do you even know where he will be?"

"Yes, there's a library in the fire dungeons and rumor is the mages have been stepping up defenses," Valford replied as he walked past Megrea.

"I could stop you, you know?" She said looking away from him.

Valford stopped behind her he bowed his head smiling, "I know, but you won't." And he continued on, Megrea did take note the he looked around the place before he walked out of the building. He gave a glance back at Megrea before closing the door. She knew they were thinking the same thing.

That this might be the last time they saw each other.
