holiday decor

i'd love to see the different towns get holiday makeovers during the seasons. it was one of the fun things in uo, seeing people in their houses put up trees and decorations, but it would be nice to see the GM's decorate the towns near holidays.

on another note i always thought it would be great if uo followed the same seasons we do in real life, like when it's winter in rl it's winter in game. people will argue i'm sure as to where it would be based off, but since most are in canada and the us i'd say central timezone in the midwest. it would just be neat to see all the trees have colorful leaves in the fall and such.

I'm pretty much 100% sure that the only way to alter all the trees to align with real life seasons requires a client side patch and isn't controllable server side.

That aside, I always loved holiday gifts.

i'm pretty sure you could have all 4 seasons pre made and installed in the client. then on set days on server reboot, have things change, like lighter grass and different colors leaves. i mean if we could travel between facets it wouldn't be much different, except it's only color change.

yea, but it doesn't seem that different thing of a change to do on a reboot, simply swapping skins.
