Validity of Taming Info on WIKI ?

Does the information on the Animal Taming page of the WIKI actually represent how it works on IPY? In practice on IPY it's not panning out to be the same as what I read.

Started with 50 Animal Taming, read the Animal Taming WIKI (http://www.inporylem.com/codex/index.php?title=Animal_Taming), and hiked off into the forest.

Found a sheep.... "you have no chance of taming"... weird; the WIKI says it only takes 10 skill. Tried on a few brown bears; failed many times but eventually got two of them (and some gains... which seems odd because if they only require 35 skill why would I fail so often?) Tried some timber wolves with the same results. Found a grizzly bear... "you have no chance of taming" but by now I had 55 (modified) skill in taming.

A lot of skill information on the wiki is cookie-cutter UO info "borrowed" from various other locations, therefore of questionable validity on this shard. Some of the skill pages are really starting to shape up as people correct the info. We definitely need everyone's help to make it the best resource possible on all aspects of IPY.

Yeah, I thought the charts looked copy/pasted from another source.

I tried creating a new account on the WIKI and it came back with this page saying BLACKLISTED! So I gave up after that.... am I missing some thing here?
