Offer No Excuses is currently recruiting any and all UO players, old or new, to enjoy this great shard with us. Our ground rules are very laxed and simple, but strict in the enforcement of them.
1) Don't be annoying.
2) Don't whine and bitch constantly, see also rule 1.
3) Have patience when dealing with anyone else in the guild.
4) Be a team player.
5) Dont blame others for your death or you getting looted, this is UO.
6) Dont drag others into situations where you scream for heals and such, while flagged, without notifying them of such intentions. While only a few people are newer players, extend this curtousey to ALL members, and not assume while youre risking newbie blessed regs, that they would want to risk their 4k farmed gold. HOWEVER, you DO NOT leave your brothers and sisters stranded or left to die. You fight for and with each other to the bitter death, if the situation warrants it. Cowardice is a form of annoyance.
7) Be helpful to guild members, they are your brothers and sisters at arms and we are only are only as strong as our weakest link.
8) Ask permission to spar with a guildy or do any negative things for testing purposes.
9) Have enough common sense to where youre looking through these rules and kind of thinking 'Do these even have to be rules?'.
10) THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL: Have fun.. Come on guys and gals, its a game. If you arent having fun then youre being a Debbie Downer. Me: "Oh we got 10k! Good work guys!" (That sad defeated'esque trumpet sound) You: "Too bad people used VPNs and got 100k the first day..". Just have fun folks, we dont care about other people's progress, only our own.
Other information;
Our guild house is JUST west of Yew Moongate, the very first Villa within radar shot of the gate. Eventually it will be setup for everyone to have a vendor here if desired.
We are primarily going to be a PvP guild, more then likely splitting onto a stone for OC, when the time comes. For the time being mostly we will be small scale PvPing and raiding places others think they can lay claim to. You do not need to have this as your interest to join, but understand its our focus so alot of time will be spent practicing for it. Also we protect all our members, but at some point YOU MUST learn how to protect yourself. Big brother will not always be around.. We will give you all the training youll need to be an army of ONE. Remember, however, that this isnt a guild just for the sake of being in a guild. You need to contribute to the guild as a whole and if you arent a PvP focused player, ill except more out of you in the PvE/Crafting side of things. Any and all playstyles are welcome to tryout.
We aspire to VERY SOON roam the seas as pirates, to some degree, as well as have members become Paladins and even Kings. We will be dabbling in nearly all facets of this great server, so be prepared to shed your comfort zone if you werent planning on doing these things. There will be times where if youre on, ill expect you to be playing with the group. Of course these events will be known in advance and real life ALWAYS comes first, so dont get all clamy shy on me, just simply say "Sorry gotta wash my shoes, cant come!".
To join, it is mandatory that you join the public vent and participate in our channels. This is not ALWAYS needed, you do not need to speak, but for grouping and other situations typing will get us all killed. This is the only reason its not tolerated to have to stop and type for one or two people. MUST USE VENT FOR GROUPING AND EVENTS. Currently we reside in the public vent, we have our own, but have made friends here and enjoy the enviroment. We have controlled channels, locked ones, and multiple grouping channels.
