View Full Version : Remove Trap, useful?

I know magery and Telekenesis works for the vast majority of scenarios around, but are there any features at the higher end of the spectrum that would actually make remove trap a useful skill to have?

I would expect that it would be useful on the deep dungeon chests, ones where the magery spell wouldn't work. I don't know, it just seems like it is a waste of a skill.


Current Pros - Remove Trap lets you stay Hiidden/Stealthed

Current Cons - Magery (at minimum skill 9 or so) does the exact same as this skill, except being hidden.

from what ive seen so far the dungeon chests arent even trapped... and the loot is basically the same no matter the level. you get 100-200 gold and 2 crappy pots... so dungeon chests suck wich is sucky since i spent my whole week training up lp. such a waste :(

i beleive they are working on improving the dungeon cheasts . they got alot of work to do let them do it we could have this or could have waited until 2015 for a complete build

I understand they were working on a lot of things for this game, which I am really happy about.

The fact is i'm not sure if remove trap is useful, or if anyone thinks it will be.. so trying to get the whole big community talking about it =)

thats unfortunate that the chests aren't trapped, they should all be. and i think it's kinda bs that magic untrap works, they should all require remove trap skill, and high level chests should require a high level.

can we get some info from a dev on this? are dungeon chests going to be worked on / upgraded for higher levels. add traps that require remove trap skill to make it useful and mandatory for high level chests? this was the play style i was looking forward to the most, and to hear it isn't worth a darn is really disappointing.

I'm finding the same thing now i've got my lockpicking up. sad day for dungeon looting.

Dungeon chests are improved. Some are leftovers from before the improvement, with generic amounts of gold and untrapped. We just failed to remove some of these, that's all. Please list their locations.

Will remove trap become a useful skill to have, or should I just keep the 40 magery?

Seems .. wrong somehow.

Thank you for the clarification on duingeon chests Az, I'll try to remember which ones they were.

thanks for the update, are there plans to make the traps only untrapable by the remove trap skill to make it useful?
