Is this a good addition to the game, or a bad one?

Surely this is a no brainer? Good.

I've made my stance clear that I'm worried/a little unhappy about ONE aspect, but hell I don't even know the full story behind it yet. I still had to vote good because overall I love it.

Great Idea! There's a ton of upside and I can't think of any major negatives. The only potential problem is voter fraud.

I'd be amazed to see any bad votes. We don't know the whole story yet, so while there will be things that will need to be tested and tweaked, it looks awesome so far.

It is a system designed to increase community involvement, focus efforts towards a common goal, uses existing resources (Cities) to a fuller extent (Through player vendors and housing of some sort inside the city and O/C, which is more involving than factions ever was), and allows the game to grow organically through it's community.

How this could EVER be considered a bad thing is beyond me...

The last king should be strangled with the guts of the last priest. (Diderot, or possibly Father Jean Meslier)

Thus, I voted bad.

Just kidding, this system sounds like a blast.

Edit: why does it say "Private Poll"?

Because you can't see what people voted for. (i.e who voted for good or bad)

Wow, I'm an idiot. Thanks.

This concept really sounds awesome. Pretty much how UO should have been. I love the fact that you're trying to bring more involvement into the towns. ALL that wasted virtual realty and what is it good for? The only reason to even go to a town is to hit the bank, buy regs and pouches, and maybe items for crafting. I remember back in the dread days the Fletcher was the place to be!

Being king of britain will be so incredibly sought after. Can foresee some amazing political shit going down.

Need to iron out 100% of all voting bugs/exploits. 1 account only should prevent this, I would have thought.

In theory.. all of these changes are good.

And on paper.. the Calgary Flames were a Cup contender this year...

People will start to farm cash for the election, so they can hire people to stand at Brit bank and do PR "VOTE FOR.." and packmules their name on..

The whole system gave me a major boner.

Expect me to be running for the Lord of Skara Brae sometime soon.

Oh god can you imagine WBB near an election?

As big a pain in the ass that it will be, that certainly will be fucking cool. Has an MMO ever before encouraged people to run for political office?

I dig it, I think most people who oppose this are the die hard classic pre:R onlys who virtually oppose all change anyway, so their input is useless.

I have one request for Paladins, make them Great Lords. That tittle has been void of UO for far too long..
