A new face coming to IPY's Roleplaying community

Hello all, for a long time I've been researching for a really good UO free server and so far you guys look to be perfect!

A bit of backstory for me, I played UO just after AoS hit and played up until just before the Stygian Abyss hit. I never truly got my fill of the T2A world. I've played a couple other free servers set in similar times that have all sadly died out.

IPY seems, from an outside perspective, to be a pretty active server. Seems to be a nice amount of people, a good mix of PvP, PvM/E, and RP. Luckily for me, this is exactly what I'm looking for! However, I am a Roleplayer at heart and so I'm posting my intro here on the roleplaying forums. I'm currently at work and my desktop is at home finishing up the downloads I need to join the server.

My question to you guys is this, "Just how active are the RP groups/guilds here on IPY?" I'll be joining up soon and I'd just like to have a bit of feedback. Maybe you guys could point me in the right direction here. I'll be joining with an RP character as my first and I'd like to join in the fun as soon as possible. Where's a good place to find some early RP? (I know this board is called Yew, so it'd be an obvious(?) place but I'm sure there are plenty other.) What guilds are solely RP based, and what guilds are RP-PvP?

Bunch of RPers here, Yew is the largest and most active guild that I know of and really an awesome bunch of guys/gals, UND are supposed to be their enemies.

ORK are an RP PK guild based on Ice, I dont know I am sure others can chime in with other ones.

arkerenos....i know that name from somewhere...come check out the Yew Militia. strictly rp. and pretty good at it too. im sure you can find a spot to be immersed in there....check out http://yewmilitia.guildportal.com for an intro into who you might want to become...there is a civilian corps too if you dont want to go militia.

Vesper Republic is an RP/PVP guild. We're less than a month old and have 15 members.

There are a few threads in the forums here about the guild and its background.

We're based in Vesper so come visit us when you get a chance.

UND - Undead. Just revived a week or so ago. A few members, I think 3-4 active.
ORK - Orcs in the orc fort near Yew. Quite a few members, only 5-6 active atm.
Ork - Ice island orcs. Quite a few members but there is more focus on pvp than RP.

I know someone is starting a minoc guild, I think there's 5-6 guys so far.
Someone made an independent guild but I dont know if it has any members beyond the founder.

So we have the potential to have a great RP community here, but a lot of these guilds are just getting on their feet. I'm sure you would have fun whichever one you joined.

I just wanted to pop in to encourage you to join the dark side... It is not as warm and friendly as the Yew militia but you get to do what ever the hell you want. If you like living outside of the town laws and guards then either ORK, UND or Amz is your home... We are both RP/PVP guilds and are always looking for more new guys to bolster our forces against our ever growing wars. Lots of excitement lots of fun.

yeah man, you guys are big enough :) i doubt vesper, minoc will have problems in finding members. i think alot of rp ppl were waiting for another non-evil rp guild then Yew.

anyways..you should join the dark side..( UND,ORK)
