I've been messing around with UO (Haven't since I got windows 7) and every time I alt tab or go into Razor to set something, the client stops responding. I have turned the music off and all that stuff I read on the net but it still does it. Any ideas?

Nevermind, I found the solution. Just switch Aero to Windows 7 Classic when playing 10 year old games ;p

This is actually a very good thing to sticky, or perhaps move to the help forum. Do you mind?

All you have to do is right click your razor icon go to properties, click the compatibility tab and then disable visual themes

This is definitely useful as I am getting a new PC in 2 days that will have Win 7 on it.

There is a Easier way to fix this.
In properties of the program you use to launch UO ( say, Razor in this case ), Under the 'Compatibility' tab, you tick in " Disable Visual Themes " . That solves it. :)

Cool, I still crashed every so often when I did that. I found I had to actually switch it to Classic as opposed to Basic to get rid of the problem. But whatever works.

You can also use the compatibility mode : Windows XP SP3 + Disable visual themes. it should work perfectly.

Also Hi ninogan! I am from Darkfall too! (LoD)

I've just installed the game and I've been logging onto another server to make sure everything will be working correctly when IPY launches.

I'm running it in compatibility mode and all that good stuff but I still get a weird problem. Every 20 secs or so there is a flash on the screen, I don't know how else to explain it but it's like you minimized the game and maximized really quickly. It doesn't crash or anything but it is annoying to say the least. Anyone else have this issue with Windows 7?

First disable visual themes in both razor and client, with capability windows xp and try running it as administrator as well.

Right click you Razor short cut and bring up the Properties window. Go to the compatibility tab and place a check next to "Disable Desktop Composition" and click apply. Should fix the problem.

err.. disregard this then. :P

I can't even get razor to start. Its in compatibility mode, running as administrator, I have nstalled the dotnet 1.1 and the regfix.

Its just omes up with a windows error "Razor has stopped working. Windows is looking for a solution to the problem"
