I resubbed Darkfall a week ago with just about my entire clan

Haven't checked out the video - and maybe that's where the punchline is... but I have to ask WHY would you re-sub at this time given all the speculation about character/server wipes and the like?

because even if that does happen its many months away and the game as it is now is still good

doubting it will happen though, the devs have stated previously that a wipe will never happen

what will most likely happen is when they do their relaunch as a "whole other game" there will just be new servers that you cant transfer too

Played Darkfall from beta and some six months after release. Darkfall is a never ending grind where old players have a huge advantage cause they macrod 24/7 for years. It is a ridicolous difference that is unreachable for newcomers. It will never be a game where players reach a skillcap and fight on equal terms. A game without a functional skillcap is worthless. Darkfall also have the worst kind of corrupted developers. They changed their own policy to help out the really large alliances. We lost a city cause of this. Our enemies took one of our cities and server crashed. When server come back there was a rollback and the city was ours. Their own rule was to never interfere with results cause of server crashes but they didnt hold their own word. They gave the city to the forum crying large alliance. I will never play a game again created by these corrupted developers over at Avent*****.

beta-6 months in to release compared to now is like night and day lol you can make a really nice char in 2-3 months now that is completely able to compete with vet chars


but yea, Avent***** is by far the worst gaming company ever... everyone agrees on this

Darkfall pvp would be the best if it wasn't so gear driven. either you have high end gear to compete, or you get rolled. and the amount of pve effort required to do pvp is enormous and destroys the game. If you don't think this is true, you aren't using Q4+ enchants

thats just silly, barely anyone pvps with q4 enchants and the only required ones are encumbrance and stam eff and you can buy the mats if you dont wanna farm them

darkfall pvp IS the best, the problem has always been finding a good fight. usually you run around finding no one or get zerged... its a thin line between epic fun and epic fail in DF
