Well, that's the general design direction. If that's how it gets remembered, I'll be quite satisfied with the shard.

Well Az in all honesty, I never played the first IPY. I hadn't been introduced to free shards yet at that point. But its easily the most highly regarded free shard I can think of. I know whole guilds idling in IRC channels all over the net, retired from UO... "until IPY2 comes out..."

I unintentionally ruined the hype machine by having my head down and not posting on the blog for two months. With the new "10 Features In 10 Weeks" blog feature, that'll change and hopefully we'll get this place vibrating with the effervescent hum of UO insanity once again.

As much as I hate Facebook, it could be an idea.

I've been waiting until more concrete news and release dates our out until I start really trying to get the word out. If I do it now most people will just do the "check it and forget it" type deal.

What we need to do, after beta is up and running, is hit the Stratics forums and PM the folks who are PRO Classic Servers a link to this site and the feature list.

That's a fine idea. It's funny though, there was a Stratics poll about what UO users would want for their next expansion. This was a few months ago. I could have literally checked off about 80% of the list, minus things like "Full 3D Client". Sorry, I don't have $9m to blow on something that'd make $50k back. I don't think EA does either.
