I felt this was a decent movie. I loved how Magneto struggled with his hatred and his wanting to make things right. The positive influence always being his friend and soon to be rival, Charles Xavier. It really made Magneto a proper villain. He was bad, but as a result of his mistreatment by even worse people. It also gives his character a more detailed tragedy to make his position as a villain more understandable.

The action was pretty standard, but what makes this movie different from the rest in the series is a better understanding of why certain mutants chose to be who they are. The bad guys are also good in their own ways.

Best Xmen of the series. If you like superhero films, you should like this one.

Hangover 2 was equally as awesome as the first.

X-men: FC is probably the best in the entire series. I completely agree about the way they handled Magneto

I really liked this movie.... until I watched X-Men 3 the next day. First scene it says '20 years earlier' and it shows a bald Charles Xavier walking.... WALKING! I was just really confused.... then I learned later that this new movie has nothing to do with the previous ones.

It's just confusing that they are now starting a whole new line of X-men movies that are completely unrelated to the last 4.

Especially when you consider the Wolverine cameo... and incorporation of Magneto's flashback scene.

Decent movie in and of itself but left me scratching my head to fit this movie in with the others. Just some sloppy plotting IMO.

I just watched this on VOD.

Or, should I say, I watched half of it.

Edit: No, it's not the worst thing Hollywood has ejected. By far it's not the worst. In comparison to most movies, it's probably pretty entertaining.

But it's still just awful.

My wife and I just watched this last night. She fell asleep halfway through, but I thought it was pretty good. Not the best, but entertaining none the less. The best part was the Hugh Jackman cameo IMO.

I didn't think Prof X and Mystique's situation was canon in the comic books either. Maybe I'm mistaken.
