I started to make a joke about XXXXXXX's dad going to go get dinner, but didn't want to piss anyone off....

Back to reality...

Transmission in my Mustang went out. Approx 3k rl gp to fix it. Thinking I'd rather just buy a new car. Got a budget of about 15k. Preferrably 1 - 2 years old and 30k or less miles. Needs 4 doors.

Any recommendations?

What are you looking for? Power? Sport? Reliable? Lots of different options, I just replaced my tranny in my Camry cost me 2.7k but with a newborn funds were tight and if the camry runs another 160k+ it will be money well spent.

Put a used transmission in it. www.car-part.com will help you find one and a mom and pop repair shop will put it in for cheap... A transmission on a car that is older than 3-4 years should never cost more than $800 to fix. If its older sometimes theyre less than $500 total.

NEVER HAVE A FRANCHISED DEALER REPAIR YOUR CAR! and NEVER put a new (major) part in a USED car! That's retarded.
